So I’m at a library in a town I don’t live in to spend time with my nieces and I go to the bathroom and see this sign.
They turned their old card catalog into free supplies people can discretely take on their own.
This is the coolest thing ever, a great way to help people without making them ask, and an amazing reuse of a the card catalog. I’m seriously about to cry I love it so much.

Do yourself a favor. Sound up. Enjoy.
This is a serotonin machine
This makes me want to dance despite the cerebral palsy. Like, screw the spasticity, use it in the dance. Thank you for the serotonin.
I approve of this mightily

Originally an old float house, the family owned and operated Nimmo Bay Lodge was towed to Port McNeill, British Columbia, Canada from Gilford Island in 1980. It was then rebuilt to accommodate eight individuals, using hydroelectric systems and other sustainable methods to ensure it fit in seamlessly with the environment.

On May 24th, several hundred protesters stood on the porch of the Kentucky Governor’s mansion, many of who were armed with rifles and demanding for him to come outside. This took place for nearly two hours while many beat on the glass windows of his home. The same group later that day hung an effigy of Governor Beshear from a tree. This group was made up primarily of middle-aged white males and they were protesting over COVID-19 restrictions. In response to this protest, they are now building a fence around the Governor’s Mansion. ZERO ARRESTS WERE MADE.
On July 14th, 87 protestors sat in the front lawn in front of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s house. They were sitting in lines with their hands in their laps. This group was unarmed and made up of mostly young people both white and of color who were demanding justice for Breonna Taylor. Other than his grass no part of the Attorney General’s home was touched. ALL 87 WERE ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH A FELONY. They face a sentence of 1-5 years.
This is the story you need to be sharing today.

If you’ve ever heard someone say “cops protect the neighborhood” show them this video of Derrick Thompson, a black man who is scared and in a horrible predicament where two police officers stand by silent with no care of interfering and the leading asshole cop (CHARLES HEWITT) belittles, taunts and makes a spectacle of being recorded. Derrick Thompson’s rights are being ignored, he’s being harassed, abused and pulled into a chokehold at the end of the video all while complying and being peaceful.
This is the assault and oppression that black lives face and are taught to fear.
White privilege is never having to experience this kind of disgusting inferiority.
This should not be our default or the norm. Behaviour like this needs to be eradicated and these police officers should be behind bars for being sadistic molesters. Anyone racially profiling and making counterfeited accusations to officers need to be fined and have their actions accounted for.
